what does this site and many other HH Blogs do? they just take content from other sites and that’s it, maybe an interview and a picture here and there but that’s it! I could do that and anybody surfing the net could do the same thing, you’re not on the level of sites like allhiphop, hiphopgame or sohh so be humble you’re just a blog like The.Life or Nahright, without other websites you would not exist. that’s real talk right here i’m tired of all those blogs claiming they’re making moves while all they’re doing is snatch content from other sites….

How can you compare me to other blogs when they don’t even have original pictures/video or even do interviews? They are 2 main types of Hip hop sites. You have your news sites (allhiphop, sohh, dubcnn, etc) and you have your Blogs (nah right, concrete Loop, etc.) I see Realtalkny as a comfortable medium. I see this site as my only competition for real, if you can call it that. I cant tell you the times when i look on the site and see if i hav e gotten a story b4 you. and the times i scream out “dammit” cause you beat me to 1. So do what you do homie, let the haters do what they do. He’s just mad he can’t steal your pics because you have your logo all over them. Lol

First of all, all sites get news from other sites, AllHipHop,Sohh are included, you can see several times where they shout me out for getting news from me so what’s your point?(Shout out to my people at both of those sites) How would I not exist without other websites, can you please explain that one to me? My dude you can’t do what I do, you can’t even get into any of these places or get any interviews so how can anybody surfing the net do RealTalkNY? How many of the sites you mention are getting thier own exclusive pics seen no where else on the web(even Fabolous asked me send him some of my pics), getting interviews(including on video), and updating like crazy? Don’t say I jack from OnSmash because sometimes I find the video before them but post their video becuase it’s more clear. Plus they hollered at me to get some of my videos on their site.(Shout out to OnSmash for the great videos)

So just don’t talk about it, start your own site and see if you can really compete since you claim you can do it too, thats REAL TALK.

The reason why there’s “hate” is because from a journalistic viewpoint, this site is just a hip hop gossip blog. It is not a website to me. It is just a man’s blog with links and pictures. Which is why its been so successful. I’ve been visiting RTNY since late summer/early fall of 06 (I think) so I’m no newbie. And other places may steal news but I’m certain they’ve got their own sources too. Now if you can drop a gem waaay before they do, from your own source, perhaps then you’ll get your respect.

Stealing/sharing/having the same news is nothing new. Major newspapers get there news from one source, Associated Press, all the time. I agree with the guy who posted above, this isnt really a “news” site its one man’s gossip/opinion blog that happens to be interesting and entertaining at times.

I love this blog! I like how u update regularly. I’ve never even attempted to read the other sites, yours grabbed my attention right away with graphics, layout, pictures, etc., etc.

Well I get allot of my own news which is not from other sites, when you work with artist and the labels directly you can get the stuff before it ever hits the big sites, for instance The Shop Boys, I had a post about them 6 months ago when no one even knew who they were, and their new video I had that a month and thats because their manager is also one of the editors of my site not to mention a writer for crunk magazine.

All Sohh AllHipHop and HipHopDx do is work directly with major record labels and press release companies, they have a inbox where they receive all their news, press releases etc, and then they sort through hundreds of emails to find the good stuff, shoot almost every day I get stuff from def jam and Atlantic about release and other artist news. all you have to do is get in contact with the marketing dept let them know that you would like them to send you press releases and artists news, what do you think their going to say…no…lol.

Anyways bigs ups to RealTalkNY He used some of videos before, that was a good look.

I remember this dude when he was at blogger and his page use take forever to load…lol I was on blogger around the same time and had the same issue and then I moved to wordpress.

RealTalkNY is the best! Honestly, I get tired of going to sohh and hiphopgame and allhiphop after awhile. This site I feel the most comfortable with. I don’t know people are hating. I feel this site is doing good with a one man army and constant updates. Compared to other sites they have staff and a budget to work with and too much going on while realtalkny keeps it straight for the people.

That’s dumb. That’s like saying “without HBO, ESPN, Weather Channel, etc., Time Warner Cable would not exist”.

RealTalk brings the relevant news together in one place and filters out the rumors and bullshit. AND they post news when it breaks! Other sites take the weekends off and then post when the news is stale or neglect to post “news worthy” events all together. RealTalk covers the culture not just the music AND beyond. They have exclusive pics, videos, news, etc.
