Snoop Dogg’s New Video For, “Sensual Seduction,” Premieres the 29th
Long Beach’s native godfather Snoop Dogg has long been a hip hop favorite on both coasts and everywhere in between. The rap superstar and multi-platinum artist is set to release his ninth solo LP, “Ego Trippin,” in March 2008 through Doggystyle/Geffen.
The premiere single, produced by Shawty Redd, titled “Sensual Seduction,” is an ode to the early eighties and will surprise and entertain fans both old and new. The catchy up-tempo showcases Snoop’s talents in a completely different capacity, unlike anything we have ever heard from the rap veteran. “Sensual Seduction” features Snoop playing both the singer and the rapper, crooning about fleshly desires through melodic verses. On it, Snoop’s vocals are reminiscent of the signature “talk box” machine, inspired by the funk sounds of Roger and Zapp.
The video for the single was directed by Melina, known for her vibrant hued and fantasy-like shots (Eve “Tambourine, Ludacris “Money Maker”). The entertaining video takes viewers back to the early eighties and pays homage to some of Snoop’s favorite artists like Roger Troutman, Rick James, Prince and others from that time. Taking a cue from the era when music was all about having fun, the video showcases video vixens channeling the Mary Jane Girls and Vanity 6, while Snoop plays the leading man.
Consistently the entertainer, Snoop wanted to pay tribute to his personal favorites while updating the sound. Snoop says, “Sensual Seduction is like a throwback feel-good song. I wanted to have fun with this one … and the video is crazy!”
The highly anticipated video for Sensual Seduction will be world premiering on TRL as well as joining forces with Rhapsody to do a “Pod Takeover” on Wednesday, November 28th. Snoop will also personally deliver and premiere it on BET’s 106 & Park on November 29th. In addition, the video will receive an All Day Premier on MTV as an Unleashed, part of TRL’s Spankin New Lyric Week as well as air on MTV’s Sucker Free, all on November 29th.

Oh yeah snoop dead wrong for gettin his T-pain on in this song…lmao! The song is actually pretty smooth though truth be told… U no1
I wasn’t feelin this song AT ALL at first, but now I like it. It shows growth as a man for Snoop. Teaching all these little boys how to make it last in the bedroom instead of humping like a selfish little rabbit LOL!!!
That’s okay when you do it at 16, but NOT at 34 LOL!!!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
lol @ the thought of Snoop teaching anyone how to “make it last”
That n1gga be sleep…lmmfao!
ONE THING THAT I THINK PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN IS T-PAIN IS NOT THE ORIGINATOR NOR MADE THE TALK BOZ FAMOUS. AS MENTIONED ABOVE, IT IS ROGER TROUTMAN. IF NONE OF YA’LL KNOW HIM CHECK OUT THE GROUP ZAPP, IF THAT’S KILLING YA’LL TO MAKE ANY RESEARCH THEN CHECK OUT TUPAC’S VIDEO OR SONG CALIFORNIA LOVE.GET YOUR HISTORY YA’LL HISTORY STRAIGHT.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ you rock with that poetry crew?
anyways… what would make you assume people who commented don’t know about zapp? I know zapp computer love and all that jazz… but at this point and time T-pain is more recognized for the sound that has been used by plenty acts including roger troutman and t-pain.
p.s. if you are part of the group I hope the poet grind is goin well!

I guess your right. Just cuz he talks about it, doesn’t mean he is about it!!
Matter of fact, EEEWWWWW @ the thought of Snoop Dog in the bedroom PERIOD LOL!!! I live in L.A.(San Fernando Valley actually) and when I was in high school, I knew one of his igroupies (very cute girl) that went to another high school my bestfriend went to( the girl was like 16 or 17 year old at the time).
I don’t know if they actually had sex but I saw her in one of his videos and she was alwayz at his house in Rancho Cucamonga (The Booney LOL). I was into gangsters at that time, but I couldn’t see WHAT THE HELL she saw in THAT THANG. I guess everyone needs love and attention though.
alkelbulanian, i see your point in all this but……
roger troutman used this and no one else touched it.
teddy riley used this, and during that time no one else touched it.
t-pain is using this thing, and it should just be his thing like everyone else got their chance.
what the fuck? why does everyone want their music to sound the same? i mean if Dream puts out another song with “eh” in it im gonna scream.
…inspired by the funk sounds of Roger and Zapp.
Roger Troutman is still banging! R.I.P
