I like the one button alternating feature, other than that it is the 2500 with a few more knobs. All I could think of while watching this was how my software can do everything this box can do, and more! If any of these music equipment manufacturers want to do a true upgrade they have to find a better way to integrate PC/Mac technology and minimize the use of hardware altogether.

WHAT THE BAMBO CLAT WAS THAT SHIT. THAT SHIT IS THE 2500 ALL OVER AGAIN. IS IT JUST ME OR DID ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT SHIT WAS WEAK. I LOVE AKAI JUST LIKE ANY OTHER REAL PRODUCER OUT THERE, BUT ARE YOU SERIOUS WITH THAT SHIT. I’M DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST. THE MPC 4000 STILL REIGN SUPREME IN MY OPION. I THINK AKAI RUSHED THAT SHIT TRYING TO COMPETE WITH THE MV 8800. THAT SHIT BETTER BE LESS THAN $2,500.00 OR ELSE OR ELSE, SHIT I DON’T EVEN KNOW. WHAT THEY SHOULD OF DONE WAS KEEP THAT MPC 4000 LOOK AND AMP IT UP WITH ALL THE NEW FEATURES, AND THEY GOT SOME LITTLE SHIT ASS BEAT MACHINE CALLED THE XR20. WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO DO BRING DOWN THE AKAI NAME. WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DOWN WAS MAKE THE MPC 500 BETTER BY ADDING A SAMPLE SLICER AND NEVER EVEN MASS PRODUCE THAT STUPID XR20.
MAYBE I’M BEING A LITTLE TOO HARD ON THE ENGINEERS AND DESIGNERS OVER AT AKAI, BUT WHEN I HEARD ABOUT THE NEW MPC 5000 WAS ABOUT TO COME OUT A FEW MONTHS AGO, I WAS MAKING DEALS AND BETS WITH MY BOYZ, THAT IT WOULD BLOW THE MV OUT THE WATER, OUT THIS EARTH, OUT THIS WHOLE UNIVERSE AND I’M SORRY BUT THAT SHIT DIDN’T DO THAT TO ME. FINE IT’S AKIA SO YOU KNOW THE SEQUENCING IS THE BEST AND YOU KNOW IT SOLIDLY BUILD BUT I’D RATHER HAVE MY MPC 4000 OVER THAT SHIT ANY DAY.

WELL HERE’S MY FINAL WORD IT’S NOT THE MACHINE OR THE EQUIPMENT BUT THE BRAINS AND CREATIVENESS USING IT.

TOP 3 MPC EVER BUILD
1. THE AKAI MPC 4000 [DA BEAST]
2. ROLAND MV-8800 [DA 3 HEADED MONSTER] (sampling,mixing,mastering)
3. THE AKAI MPC 3000 [THE TREND SETTER]

TOP 3 WORKSTATION {UNDER $5,000.00 DOLLOR}
1. KORG M3 [MAKERS OF THE WORLD BEST SELLING WORKSTATIONS]
2. YAMAHA MOTIF XS [SECOND BY THE NARROWEST OF MARGINS]
3. ROLAND FANTON G [THIS ONE IS THE EYE CANDY]

TOP 3 SEQUENCING AND PRODUCTION SOFTWARE
1. REASON [THE FINAL WORD SEQ. AND PRODUC. SOFTWARE]
2. FL STUDIOS [BEST FOR PC]
3. SONY ACID [WELL IT'S SONY WHAT CAN I SAY]

AIGHT THATS IT I’M OUT, TILL NEXT TIME KEEP THE MUSIC BANGIN.

This is a piece of shyt… period… AKAI need to be slapped for not asking us first… First of all if they know any damn thing and have been reading all the forums… they know we have been asking for what we want. I won’t bother re-listing it all again.. but first off.. .it should be a 24-bit/96khz machine period.. with the option to downsample to 16-bit, 12-bit… that elminates alot right there…

2nd it really looks like a MPC2500XL… I expected the 5000 to be something crazy lookin with some way out advance lookin stuff on it… not a MPC 2500xl…

newayz… they trippin…

what i’m still waitin for is the ASR-10 (Ease of Use),MPC (Sequencer/Rhythm PRoramming),YamahaXS (Sampleback,Color LCD),MOTIF (Sounds!!!),V-Synth (Custom Synth Sounds),Miko/Neko (All in One),and Digi003 (Motorized FAders and nobs) all combined in one

I might have to design that shyt myself…. AKAI.. quit trippin and get at me…

Oh… and it’s gotta have pads, keys, knobs, faders, and all the hands-on features… i hate usin that damn computer mouse and the curser to make a f-n beat…. i like to close my eyes and memorize where all they buttons and shyt is and really get into the shyt when i’m producin… openin my eyes to look at where the software button is … shyt thats like ya moms walkin in while u butt naked waxin… i don’t like to open my eyes… give me be buttons and knobs and shyt i can touch…
