Full Recap of the show below via Press Release
Ludacris previewed his sixth rap album in NYC last night, “Theater of The Mind.” Attendees were treated to popcorn and free drinks as they watched videos for Luda’s first two singles on movie screens along with behind the screen footage(via AJ Dixon) . The videos were followed by a Q&A session hosted by MTV’s Sway. Ludacris spoke on being underrated, Ending Beef with T.I. and his future career plans. Luda will be appearing in two upcoming films, Max Payne & Rock N Rolla. He may also be doing a battle of the sexes album with Shawna in the near future.
Ludacris also went on to put an end to rumors of Ludacris retiring anytime soon. Ludacris jokingly talked about the disappointment of hearing his pool house burning down but made it clear no one was hurt in the incident. While having a busy career, Ludacris is never too busy to give back to his community, he discussed his Foundation that gives back to the less fortunate.
“Theater of the Mind,” features appearances by Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, The Game, T.I., Floyd Mayweather Jr., Common, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Playaz Circle & Willy Northpole. The album will have production from DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, Don Cannon, Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Darkchild & DJ Troomp amongst others. Ludacris stated, “This album right here is set out to get the credit I deserve as an MC.”

. Video features performances by Ludacris, Slick Rick, The Sugar Hill Gang, Play N Skillz, Paul Wall & Lil Flip. Julio G and Damian Barth from Fusion Promotions partnered with KISS 97.3 to put together a great concert with a nice mix of old and new school acts. Sugar Hill Gang killed it, had break dancers and others dance on stage like it was a huge party(yea I even did the running man on stage). I got to see Ludacris perform a full set for the first time and forgot about how many cameos and hits he had in his catalog. Overall it was a great Hip Hop experience shout out to Gina Torres.

Fusion Promotions & Kiss 97.3 present, “The TakeOver III,” in New Mexico 9/21/08. Artist included Ludacris, Slick Rick, Paul Wall, The Sugar Hill Gang, Lil Flip, Play N Skillz, Frankie J, Baby Bash & Gemini.
Video is on the way of course…
